Cuban Sandwiches

I had to document this meal because of how much awesome flavor it has! I will certainly be making this again, but NOT as a sandwich. I think the sandwich effect takes away a lot of the flavor of the pork. I also did not like the addition of the sliced ham, I think it is unnecessary. Everything about this sandwich was high quality except for the ham and the swiss cheese. I have promised myself the next time I make this, it will just by my homemade pork with homemade pickles, and I will try to make some homemade biscuits.

I made two types of pickles:

Classic Dill Pickles: White wine vinegar, water, yellow onion, fresh garlic, dill, salt, yellow mustard seeds, kirby cucumbers.

Sweet Dill Pickles: Apple cider vinegar, sugar, onion, dill, turmeric powder.

Pork: Amazing pork recipe! All credit for this goes to https://thefoodcharlatan.com/cuban-mojo-marinated-pork-recipe/.

Ingredients: Pork shoulder marinaded overnight in olive oil, orange juice, orange zest, lime juice, mint, cilantro, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper (I added this into recipe because the pork needed a little heat).

Recipe for bread is here. I plan on modifying it to make biscuits:
